Diversity is a fact,
inclusivity is a choice
We live in a society of hyperdiversity. Therefore, we must ensure that our society is truly inclusive, allowing everyone to find their place and contribute actively.
How? By fostering encounters between cultures and generations, and by fighting inequalities and discrimination.

A twofold observation
In Belgium, it has been statistically demonstrated that, for many years:
⚠️ There is a unequal access to the labour market for young people with immigration from outside the European Union (1st, 2nd, 3rd generation), regardless of their level of diploma.
⚠️ People over 50 present in and face a lack of valorization of their skills.
Our mission
Since 2013, DUO for a JOB has been creating a link between generations by offering a mentoring program in various cities across Belgium, France, and the Netherlands.
Concretely, it involves a relationship where a volunteer “mentor,” trained by our association, shares their experience with a young “mentee” to promote the development of their skills, autonomy, and help them identify and achieve their professional goals.
This relationship is based on exchange, learning, and mutual trust. They meet for two hours each week for six months and are supervised by a coordinator from the non-profit association.
But DUO for a JOB is more than just an effective integration tool. It is a project of openness and solidarity, bringing together people of different ages, origins, and neighborhoods around common values. A powerful experience that, through encounters, helps to challenge prejudices and discrimination.

Our vision
By fighting against racism, inequality, determinism, and discrimination while promoting a more inclusive society, DUO for a JOB acts as a bridge between generations and cultures.
The organization aims to support the professional integration of young people with an immigration background while fostering understanding, open-mindedness, and empathy to build a society that values and respects differences.
Unlocking the potential of young people
Mentoring is a powerful tool to enhance access to the job market and create opportunities for young people with a migrant background to realize their potential and fulfill their aspirations.
Valuing the experience of people aged 50+
Mentoring reinforces the civic engagement of each mentor and allows them to stay active, to feel useful, to value your skills and to develop new ones.
Changing the way we look at diversity
Mentoring contributes to a more nuanced perception of "the other" and helps build a society where diversity is viewed positively.
