What information is there and how do we collect it?

A. Data that you provide to us

The personal data collected at the organizational level are as follows:

1. The information provided by the user in the online forms allows him to be identified and contacted in a personalized way. Depending on the situation and subject to the consent of the person concerned, DUO for a JOB collects and stores the following data:

- First name, Last name

- Contact information (Phone number, email address, social networks)

- Gender

- Date of Birth

- Location

- And the results of any questionnaire you agree to answer

In addition, personal data that you may share as part of a job application through the Employment section includes:

  • This data is collected when the user performs one of the following operations on the site:
  • - Program registration
  • - Apply for a job
  • - Donate on the site
  • Additional personal data of mentees are also collected after the identity card/residence permit is sent by email/Whatsapp. Once the identity data is entered into our database, the ID photo is deleted. If the ID is sent via Whatsapp, it is also removed from the phone. This information is no longer stored on the phone after it has been encoded.

2. The technical characteristics of the means of connection to the website, which are data collected automatically.

In general, when you visit the site, we only incidentally collect information such as your IP address and/or information about your browser or computer device and the last web page visited that allows us to provide you with access to the site and appropriate content. However, there are pages where you need to provide additional personal data to register, contact us, or request news and updates.

B. Regarding a donation

When you donate to DUO for a JOB via the website or by completing a one-time or recurring donation form, your data is integrated into a database intended to manage our relationship with our donors. C. Newsletter

Site visitors can sign up to receive a newsletter. The data that visitors enter for this purpose is included in a database that is used to send you emails. We use Mailchimp as a third party email platform to share information. When you sign up for our mailing lists, we ask for your name, contact information, and field of work. Mailchimp has its own security and data protection policy. Mailchimp uses email tracking. Email tracking tells us when you opened an email and what links you clicked on. We use this information to improve our communications and include general information such as open and click rates to inform communication planning and reporting.

Why will we use your data?

As it is in our legitimate interest to listen to you and to ensure the proper functioning of our program and organization, we will use your information to:

  • - Ensure the most qualitative “pairing” between mentees and mentors while creating a duo.
  • - Have more effective communication within the DUO for a JOB team
  • - Consolidate the statistical data necessary for our reporting activities (annual report, thematic report, advocacy actions, etc.)
  • - Have objectives to assess the quality of the program
  • - Evaluate new mentees and potential mentors
  • - Evaluate candidates for our job and volunteer offers

How long do we keep your data?

The data of those who did not consent to the storage of data for purposes other than answering their specific question is kept only as long as necessary to answer the question. It can take 30-60 days for requests for information, teaching materials, purchases, standalone gifts, or participation in an action.

The data of persons who have shown an interest in the actions, activities and future campaigns of DUO for a JOB, and those involved in the gifts are stored in accordance with art. 5 of the GDPR, i.e. for the period corresponding to the intended purpose or until the consent is explicitly withdrawn by the person concerned.

We store the information we collect about you for as long as necessary for the purposes for which we collected it and in accordance with applicable law and legitimate business interests.

After the end of the mentoring period, there is a 12-month follow-up of the mentee's professional development. During this period, all personal data is retained.

In order to produce annual reports and statistics, personal information will be anonymized and stored for a period of 15 years. Once this period has passed, a data cleaning process will be put in place to remove any unused data.

We strive to keep our records accurate and will make appropriate corrections when you let us know.
